Gene Miller has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Rio Vista Physical Rehabilitation Hospital , a part of Sierra Providence Health Network. Miller joined Sierra Providence in 2001 when he was appointed as Vice President for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services. Prior to coming to El Paso, Mr. Miller served three years as Chief Executive Officer for Garland Community Hospital in Garland, TX and nine years as Chief Operating Officer for Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston. Before his career in healthcare administration, Mr. Miller practiced physical therapy in Arkansas and Texas.

He received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston, and bachelor’s degree of science in physical therapy from University of Texas Medical Branch. Miller is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives, American Hospital Association, and Texas Hospital Association.
