Border Children’s Health Center will be Celebrating its 15th Annual Operation Noel Party

Sergio Enriquez
December 7, 2006

Sierra Providence Health Network (SPHN) will be celebrating the 15th Annual Operation Noel Party at the Border Children's Health Center on Friday, December 8th from 4:00 - 5:30pm, located on 2001 N. Oregon (corner of University and Oregon). The Providence Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is providing backpacks for the Center's children, and in addition will provide gift bags for all siblings attending the party. Forty-five children will be receiving warm jackets from the Operation Noel Foundation. The majority of children attending were selected due to their demonstrated financial need.

The Border Children's also received a $500.00 monetary donation and art supplies for 30 children from the El Paso County Legal Support Association. This donation will be used to assist our most needy families during the holidays.

SP the Diamond (SPHN’s mascot) will be in attendance along with the El Paso Police Department’s robot named “Agent Santos”, as well as Santa Claus. The Rio Grande Girl Scout Troop #412 from Mesita Elementary School will be singing Christmas carols and will be providing handmade crafts to our children. The Troop chose to adopt Border Children's Health Center 2 years ago as their project during the holidays.
