For the second year, Sierra Providence Health Network receives the Consumer Choice Award by the National Research Corporation (NRC). Consumer Choice Awards for hospitals are based on consumer preference responses. The award identifies hospitals that consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in 180 markets throughout the U.S.
"We know residents have a choice when it comes to their health care options," said Thomas Casaday, President and CEO, Sierra Providence Health Network. "As healthcare consumers continue to play an increasing role in selecting which hospitals they utilize, this recognition acknowledges that impact."
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the NRC’s annual Healthcare Market Guide. Of the 3,000 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in their Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau.
