A view from Mars, a trip around the moon or a look across the galaxy, these are just some of the sights to help ease the stress of an emergency room visit for child at Providence Memorial Hospital. With the latest addition to the Providence Children’s Pavilion, the pediatric emergency room is designed just for kids with a soothing out of this world atmosphere that will house:

  • 11 treatment beds
  • 3 triage areas
  • 2 dedicated critical care rooms
  • well child waiting room
  • sick child waiting room

The pediatric emergency room will be staff by two physicians who are board certified in pediatrics and emergency medicine and certified under the Advanced Pediatric Life System that offers a comprehensive review of pediatric medicine. Emergency room nurses will also be certified in the emergency nurse pediatric course. With this education, emergency room staff is able to evaluate and offer the proper course of treatment for children of all ages.
