The center may work with out-of-town specialists to provide pediatric health care services that may not be readily available in El Paso. Case Management Border Children's offers case management services for children and their families under the direction of a nurse coordinator or case manager who: - coordinates relationships between the child, family and school refers families to local social/community agencies that may be able to assist them. Disease/Injury Management By learning disease/injury management skills, children and their family members can actively participate in the treatment process. Border Children's: - provides education and information to families so they can help with their child's care and treatment
- prepares children to manage their own medical conditions
Pediatric Physical Rehabilitation Medicine Border Children's offers comprehensive on-site rehabilitation services designed specifically for children who have suffered a physical injury or who have functional limitations due to their medical condition, such as cerebral palsy or spina bifida.
