5/1 AD BDE Blanket Ceremony
October 21st, 2009:
SPHN welcomed some of the newest members of the 5/1 AD Brigade with a baby blanket ceremony conducted at the 5/1 AD Brigade Headquarters. A group of 5/1 families with new babies were presented baby blankets that were embossed with the SPHN and 5/1 AD logos. Several of the babies had been born in SPHN hospitals and one family’s baby remained in the NICU in the care of SPHN. These blankets and the welcoming of the newest members of the Brigade symbolize the friendship and family like relationship that has developed out of the AUSA partnership entered into back in January of this year.
