CHAP Participates in McCasa Event
The Childrens Hospital at Providence was invited to support the 6th Annual McCASA walk at Fort Bliss. The event hosted by Family Advocacy on Saturday, April 3, 2010 is an opportunity to spotlight the Month of the Military Child and create awareness about Child Abuse Prevention.
More than 500 Soldiers, Family members and civilian partners, participated in the 2-mile walk. Numerous social service agencies sponsored information booths and the Childrens Hospital provided information on services available to Soldier Families and provided a special educational program on H1N1 and how to keep children safe during Cold and Flu season.
The Childrens Hospital at Providences is a strong supporter of several health education programs for Military Families at Fort Bliss that raise awareness and provide resources to the community of children that we have the privilege to serve.
