The Children’s Hospital at Providence and Dr. Miguel A. Moreno assisted the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) at Fort Bliss with a special educational program on Seizure disorder in children. Dr. Moreno is a Pediatric Neurologist for the Children’s Hospital at Providence and one of only three Pediatric Neurologist in El Paso.

More than 30 Soldiers and Family members were on hand to hear Dr. Moreno discuss the characteristics of Seizure disorders, the diagnostic test and pharmacologic and dietary therapies available in the treatment of this often confusing condition. A question and answer session was also held for the audience members and many military families shared their personal concerns about their own children and the experiences that they have encountered.

The Children’s Hospital at Providence is honored to provide this wonderful opportunity for the Military Families at Fort Bliss and this serves as another example of our commitment to giving back to the Military who give to all of us by volunteering to protect this great nation.
