Soldiers from the 5/1 AD, BSB were on hand to help decorate the Ronald McDonald House for the upcoming holiday season. The BSB Battalion is the AUSA guardian partner of The Children’s Hospital at Providence. When a family that had helped decorate the Ronald McDonald House for years was no longer able to do so the BSB Battalion stepped forward volunteered to help out. Along with the El Paso Electric Company the Soldiers and Family members from the BSB unloaded bins, checked and strung lights inside and out. All this hard work was in preparation for the Ronald McDonald’s House fund raiser event “Lights of Love.” The Children’s Hospital at Providence is the only El Paso Hospital with a Ronald McDonald room and it serves as a place where parents of hospitalized children can go to relax and rejuvenate themselves with a relaxing environment, a home baked cookie and a kind word. We greatly appreciate the BSB Soldier’s service to our nation and to our community. They are true Heroes!
