The leadership of Sierra Providence East Medical Center were invited by the 5/1 Fires Battalion, their AUSA Military Community partner to attend a live fire demonstration.  The leadership was able to touch, observe and participate in the firing of M777A2 Howitzers. 

The SPEMC leadership had the opportunity to interact with and have an MRE lunch with the Soldiers and Family members of the Fires BN.  They were also able to witness and participate in a live fire demonstration of the deadly fire power and accuracy of the M777A2 Howitzers that these Soldiers train on and help defend this great nation with.

The leadership team came away with a new appreciation for the team work, skill and courage it takes to make our Army the professional and awe-inspiring force that it is. It is SPEMC’s pleasure and honor to be the AUSA Guardian of the 5/1 AD, Fires Battalion.
