Sierra Providence Health Network’s 3rd Annual Operation Open Arms
This November marks the 3rd year that Sierra Providence Health Network (SPHN) has helped raise money and food for the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) on Fort Bliss. Over the past three years, SPHN’s efforts have provided over 13,000 pounds of canned goods and over 10,000 dollars in assistance to support the annual Thanksgiving Basket program and food closet at the Junior Enlisted Family Center (JEFC) at Fort Bliss.
This year SPHN and its employees raised over 3400 dollars and several hundred pounds of canned goods. With this contribution and other generous donations the ASYMCA was able to provide 1400 Thanksgiving Baskets and Turkeys to young Soldiers and their Families on Fort Bliss.
The fundraising support that SPHN provides this vital entity on Fort Bliss helps ensure that the ASYMCA and JEFC are able to continue to provide services to those Soldiers and Families who need a helping hand. SPHN recognizes that being a good community partner and neighbor to Fort Bliss means more than providing great health care to our men and women in uniform, it also means “Helping to Give Back to Those Who Serve.”
