Providence Provides Dietary Education at Fort Bliss
Providence Memorial Hospital and two of their dieticians provided families of the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) at Fort Bliss with a special education program on nutrition. The class covered what it means to eat right, reading food labels, hidden sugars and fats as well as how to encourage healthier eating in children. More than a dozen family members were own hand for the presentation and were afforded the opportunity to ask questions on nutrition issues that were of concern to them and their families.
Providence Memorial hospital was honored to be able to provide this opportunity to Military Families at Fort Bliss and recognize that good nutrition information and education helps contribute to the Military readiness by building stronger minds and bodies.
