December 11th, 2009:

Sierra Medical Center (SMC) hosted a holiday party for about 150 family members of the 1/77th deployed in Iraq. The families were treated to a traditional holiday buffet, pictures with Santa, arts and crafts and gifts for the children.

Edmundo Castaneda, the CEO of SMC was on hand to welcome the 1/77th Families to the event. Also present and on his mid tour leave from Iraq was LTC Gallivan. He gave a special welcome and thank you to the families of the soldiers down range. It was Sierra Medical Center’s pleasure to provide these wonderful military families with a little holiday cheer for all the sacrifices they make in helping to secure this great nation’s freedom.
