Emergency Department Visitor Information
What To Bring When you arrive at the Emergency Department of any of our facilities, you will need to provide the registration associate with:
- Identification such as a driver’s license or State ID card
- A current phone number so we may contact you to give you X-ray and lab reports after your discharge from the emergency department.
- Insurance information
- Name and address of your primary care physician
Patient Safety In order to ensure the proper care and safety of our patients and your loved ones, Sierra Providence Health Network (SPHN) asks that you observe a few guidelines during your visit to any of our emergency departments:
- Check with the triage nurse or charge nurse before eating or drinking anything. Food or drink may interfere with tests.
- Food and drink are not allowed in the treatment area. Food odors may nauseate other patients.
- All of our facilities are smoke-free. Look for signs that indicate the designated smoking area.
- Because of the serious nature of the emergency department, we ask that each adult patient only have one visitor at a time. Both parents are allowed to stay with children age 16 years or younger.
- Children under age 12 are not allowed in the treatment area unless under treatment.
