Breast Cancer

An abnormal mammogram or a diagnosis of breast cancer can be alarming and overwhelming. Women often have many questions and don’t know where to start. Our Breast Health Navigation Program offers guidance to women throughout their breast cancer experience.

Our Breast Health Navigator RN is here to:

  • Serve as a guide for patients from time of abnormal mammogram through breast diagnostic studies including needle biopsy and diagnosis of breast cancer
  • Provide pre-op education session(s) for patient and support person(s) along with a “survivor education packet” uniquely designed for each individual’s needs
  • Assist patients with community resources when needed during treatment and recovery (this may include financial needs)
  • Work closely with a panel of Surgeons and Oncologists who have a specific interest and background in Breast Cancer Management

The Breast Health Navigator RN’s office is at TotalCare West and is available to patients at Providence Memorial Hospital, Sierra Medical Center and Sierra Providence East Medical Center. Call (915) 577-8409 for more information.
