High-Risk Pregnancy

Women with diabetes, heart conditions or other special health conditions are at a higher risk of developing complications before, during and after pregnancy. Women with high-risk pregancies may be referred by their doctor to either Providence's Perinatal Diagnostic Center or Sierra Medical Center's High Risk Perinatal Clinic.

Each hospital in our network features a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offering the highest state-recognized level of care for premature and critically ill babies. An in-house, board-certified neonatologist and neonatal nurse practitioners are on call 24/7 to meet the needs of our smallest patients.

Are you interested in delivering your baby at a Sierra Providence Network facility? Register online or call (915) 577-SPHN (7746) to find out more information about our Birthing Centers, classes and facility tours.
