Women with diabetes, heart conditions or other special health conditions are at a higher risk of developing complications before, during and after pregnancy. Women with high-risk pregancies may be referred by their doctor to either Providence's Perinatal Diagnostic Center or Sierra Medical Center's High Risk Perinatal Clinic.
Each hospital in our network features a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offering the highest state-recognized level of care for premature and critically ill babies. An in-house, board-certified neonatologist and neonatal nurse practitioners are on call 24/7 to meet the needs of our smallest patients.
