Robotic Surgery

Staying at the forefront of medical technology is one of the goals of The Sierra Providence Health Network. As a result, we were the first to have a robotic surgical system (da Vinci) in El Paso.

The da Vinci surgical system gives our surgeons the ability to perform complex surgeries through very small incisions improving the clinical outcome for each patient. The da Vinci surgical system is controlled by a surgeon who operates robotic arms in real time. A robotic arm executes the surgeon's commands seamlessly and accurately. Each incision measures about one to two centimeters in length, thus minimizing tissue damage and cutting recovery time in half for most patients.

Talk to your doctor to find out if you are a candidate for the procedure. You can also call (915) 577-SPHN (7746) to find out more about our services.
